Alumni helping with School Projects

COMPUTER DONATIONS - 2005

The BSAA donated 8 computers (Pentium 4 Windows XP desktops with DVD/CDRW drives) at a cost of US$5,700 (J$399,000) to Belair School in April 2005.

FLAT DOLLS - 2004

The BSAA assisted the Prep School with its Flat Doll project where paper replicas of students were mailed worldwide to 'visit' family and friends in other countries and 'bring back stories and souvenirs to share'.  Alumni in Japan, the Bahamas, Kentucky and Florida 'hosted' dolls of students who didn't have relatives or friends abroad.  The BSAA also provided a 'hub' in Florida for 40 dolls to safely return to Belair School in Jamaica.

The Prep School showcased the Flat Dolls at its International Day display in Feb 2004 to raise funds for classroom globes.

FLORIDA GROUP DONATION - 2003

The Florida Group, which put on the first Link-up Party, "Florida Fete" in October 2003, donated craft items and educational CDs from the Prep School Wish List. These items were funded by the proceeds of the party.

REUNION 2003 DONATION

After the Grand Reunion held in Jamaica in July 2003, the BSAA donated a suitcase of novelty items to the school.  The school used these items in a fundraiser resulting in J$4,000 profit.
