Those who have moved on the colder parts of the world are now entering the season where you tend to reminisce about prep/high school days. For the past few weeks all I can think of is the unhealthy but yummy pizza, patties etc. Mrs. Coley used to serve at lunch time. Gosh what ever happened to her.  Also Miss Myers. She might not have been our fav. teacher at the time, but she certainly made us all into the people we are today.
Thanks to all the teachers we have grown to appreciate.

This brings back some great memories. Belair in the late 60's and early 70's was quite an experience. I must have been in 5th/6th/7th while we lived in Mandeville. Does anyone from that era remember Coach Kelso? How about the french teacher, very european, Mr. Desandre...he was something else! Mr. Grant did a great job as music teacher as well as Mr and Mrs Coggins. I beleive Mr. Coggins taught science and Mrs Coggins social studies or possibly math. All of the faculty at Belair was top notch. I visited Mandeville 2 years ago and stopped by the school, the current headmaster was kind enough to visit with me and allow me to look around the school. The school has stood the test of time and come out very well.

Hi! I have been checking out the website. My family went to Belair in the early seventies. My little brother, Eddy Miller, and I (Pam) were in grade school. My older brother, Steve Miller and sister, Liz Miller were in High School.
I think Steve was a senior the year we left Jamaica, but he didn't graduate, as we left over the Christmas Holidays to come back to Oklahoma (United States).
We have been back to Jamaica several times, but have failed to make it to Mandeville. It is a favorite vacation spot for our family.
The picture of my husband (Randy) and me, on my homepage was actually taken two years ago at the Wyndham Resort in Montego Bay. We now live in Glenpool, Oklahoma (United States)

SEAN NAM
Sean, where do we start? It is so hard to put into words the loss we have suffered with your passing. You were such a blessing to everyone who knew you. You’ve been there for us for so many years, ever since high school, whenever we needed you, for whatever we needed and served as such a source of inspiration. You set an example as to how to live life to the fullest. We will continue to honour you, each and every day, just through living the wisdom that you imparted upon us, during your brief time here on earth.

This is truly one of life’s greatest injustices, because Sean really did nothing wrong, nothing to deserve his fate. Sean had dreams and ambitions that may not be realized here on earth, but he is in a better place. Deep down we all know that, but wanting him here with us, makes those words hard to accept. To Sean’s family, Kevin, Kirk, Brent, Duane and of course his parents, we can’t imagine what you must be going through, but please take comfort in knowing that Sean was a remarkable person, and until we see him again, he is preparing a place for us and I’m sure you couldn’t ask for a better guardian angel. Our parting is simply bitter sweet. We love you Sean and miss you dearly.

Hi my good friends. I hope you all are well. I find myself scrolling through here and thinking of home and school days a lot recently.
Although all is well with me, I have some sad news - Ken Strudwick passed away in Mandeville a few days ago (many of you will remember that he was the owner of Odeon theatre and Pot Pourri restaurant that was housed in Manchester Club for a number of years.) He is the husband of Del Strudwick (Aunt Del) who was a fixture at Belair for many years as the "voice" of Belair School (She was a receptionist at Belair for many years). They constantly imbued us with their spirit of love, kindness and generosity.
Please keep Aunt Del in your thoughts and prayers as she passes through this time in her and her family's life. I am sure many of you will empathize with how I feel.
Would love to hear from my old friends out there. I will respond for sure.
Be well.

Hi there,
Well, I see we have a wonderful network going here. Thank God for the internet.
The more I live in America, the more I appreciate Jamaica. I am so home sick. Jamaica is doing great for a third world country.
My sympathy goes out to the Fletcher family. I am still in shock.
My family appreciates the presence and support the Mendez family gave us after the death of my uncle in Brooklyn, New York. We were happy to see them after all these years. They are doing very well.
My family wants to say a big hello to the Chen family, who lived in the same Godfrey Lands neighbourhood with us. The Chens are wonderful and sincere people. I heard that one of the Chens are doing extremely well in Toronto, Canada. He is following in the footsteps of one of our fellow Jamaicans. Oh yes I am talking about
Mr. Michael Lee Chin, he is a millionaire in Canada. We Jamaicans do not play around.
Mr. Michael Lee Chin is in one of my Management textbooks. I am sure you all have a clear picture now. Money, money, money, money. Some Americans will say,"Bling, bling."
Belair School is such a wonderful institution. I would like to say hi and thank you to Mrs. Shields. Mrs. Shields had an integral part in molding Belair.
Bye for now. I could go on for ever. I am excited about this website. Good luck to everyone.

For Tom Grasse aka "Busha",Hi Tom,you and i graduated together in 77. Just to let you know that "Duppy" used to chase us very good naturedly as far back as 1964 at Manchester Prep before it became Belair. I was sorry to hear of his tragic end but like other others i will fondly remember him and things like buying him a "Bulla" from the tuck shop at the age of 4 and have him watch us play "pitch pennies" during lunch with the rest of the very "old students".
